OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (AhlulBayt News Agency) - Three Palestinian children were wounded Friday in the Silwan suburb of Jerusalem when a Jewish settler deliberately ran then over.
Local sources in Jerusalem told PIC that the so called leader of settlers in the Silwan suburb ran the children over as they came out of the mosque after performing their Friday prayers, adding that three of them were suffered medium injuries as a result.
The incident took place after news that an old Palestinian elderly lady from the same suburb succumbed to wounds she sustained two weeks ago during an extensive operation by the IOF in the suburb which lies to the south of the Aqsa Mosque.
Member of the committee to defend the Silwan suburb, Fakhri Abu Diab told Safa news agency that the old lady who died Friday was Haneyeh Odeh, 70 and the mother in law of Samer Serhan who was killed by the IOF during their operation two weeks ago.
He added that Odeh was hit by a stun grenade at the time and the IOF hampered ambulances from reaching the injured on that day.
Odeh was taken at the time to Hadasa (Ain Karem) hospital where she stayed since then until she succumbed to her injury on Friday.

Erdogan: Turkey will not stand idle in front of starving children in Gaza
[ 07/10/2010 - 10:52 AM ]
ISTANBUL, (PIC)-- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country will not remain quiet over Israeli injustice or turn its back on Gaza and its children.
This came during the opening of the 14th International Business Forum staged by MUSIAD, the Independent Industrialists & Businessmen's Association on Wednesday in Istanbul.
The event was attended by more than 25 ministers from different countries, 5,000 businessmen from 65 countries, 150,000 visitors, and 550 exhibitors from Turkey and other countries.
Erdogan said his country has been open to all cultures, beliefs, and Islamic investments since Mehmed took control in 1453. He noted that Turkey is becoming one of the world’s best economies.
On his part, MUSIAD president Omer Cihat Vardan called on Islamic countries to cooperate to increase trade between themselves to boost the rate of development between each other and become independent of other countries.
The association chose the slogan this year “The importance of technology in developing Islamic countries” in an effort to urge Islamic nations to better economies by placing more focus on the technology industry.
“Money does not buy technology. We must have it so as not to be slaves to others,” said Vardan.
MUSIAD is an Istanbul-based non-profit organization that aims to revitalize economic and trade cooperation between the 57 Islamic countries. It currently has more than 3,500 members, with more than 15,000 companies, 30 branches in Turkey, and a number of liaison offices in 40 countries.

Iran nabs several 'nuclear spies'
Sat Oct 2, 2010 11:15AM
Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi
Iran's intelligence minister has announced the arrest of a number of "nuclear spies," insisting that the nation's intelligence apparatus is actively engaged in countering massive enemy schemes.
Heidar Moslehi also said the enemy has designed and sent electronic worms through the Internet to undermine Iran's nuclear activities, Mehr news agency reported.
Moslehi emphasized that his ministry is capable of rapidly detecting and taking appropriate measures to counter all destructive moves by "hegemonic powers" in cyberspace.
The minister said assured the Iranian nation that the intelligence apparatus currently possesses comprehensive expertise and control over cyberspace activities and will not allow the enemy to infiltrate and damage the country's nuclear endeavors.
"We are always facing destructive activities by these [espionage] services, and, of course, we have arrested a number of nuclear spies to block the enemy's destructive moves," the intelligence minister said.
Western sources had earlier claimed that the computer network of Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant was attacked by an electronic virus.

Israel violates Lebanon airspace again
'Israel brutally seized Gaza ship'
Yonatan Shapira, a former Israeli Air Force pilot, said Israeli soldiers hit him with a stun gun while he was passively resisting arrest.
"They didn't kill us like they killed other Palestinians and Muslims, but they were very brutal. I got shot with a taser shock gun ... and was brutally treated just like my brother Itamar," Shapira, a member of the Combatants for Peace group, told Reuters on Wednesday.
Vish Vishvanath, a British journalist, also complained about the harsh treatment of Israeli soldiers, saying he was "ambushed" and "almost strip searched" by Israeli commandos and that all his equipment were confiscated.
Israeli military, which had claimed that the Irene was seized peacefully on Tuesday, has yet to comment on the activists' accounts.
Israeli warships surrounded the aid vessel, carrying eight Jewish activists and two British journalists nearly 20 miles (32 kilometers) off the Gaza coast, forcefully diverting it to the Israeli port of Ashdod.
