| Israeli forces assaulted a group of Spanish tourists on Thursday afternoon as they tried to enter the southern West Bank city of Beit Lahm (‘Bethlehem’) through its northern entrance to participate in the Christmas festivities. Local sources said that the forces manning the roadblock at the northern entrance of the city near Rahil’s dome assaulted the group with truncheons injuring a number of them. The group was surprised at the treatment meted to them and said that they had a taste of what it was like for Palestinians crossing roadblocks. |
