NEGEV, (PIC)-- Israeli guards at the Negev desert prison arrested a 13-year-old Palestinian girl while visiting her detained father from Salfit, a report by the Palestinian ministry of prisoners in Gaza said on Monday. It said in a statement that Samah Muslim was detained during the visit, adding that the guards suddenly stopped the visit after claiming that she was trying to smuggle certain things to her father. The ministry said, however, that the girl had nothing in her possession and that the prison administration fabricated the problem in order to disrupt the visit. It noted that the girl was taken away from her mother screaming and was questioned by the police who were called by the prison administration. It said that the Beer Sheba court extended her detention for 24 hours. |
